I am a Cleveland-based destination wedding and lifestyle photographer specializing in capturing the most beautiful moments of your life. My style is effortless, genuine, joyful and timeless. I love photographing weddings the most of my own wedding- the best night ever, on repeat forever through the photographs from our photographer.
When I am not photographing weddings and families, I am hanging out with my husband Dan, our beautiful children Cady and Finn and the best boy ever, Max, our 8-year-old black lab. I love sipping some hot coffee with cream (no sugar), literally any time of day. I am a huge gardening fanatic and you can usually find me hiking in a state park somewhere or booking a spontaneous flight to my home away from home, California.
The most important thing you need to know about me? I believe showing up for you when it counts. Your big moments, the stolen glances in the room and every little thing that tells your story. I laugh hard, tell a few inappropriate jokes and genuinely love cheering you on. I will be your bestie by the end of the night and have you feeling like an absolute queen.

I became a legally licensed and registered business in 2018, but when I was a young child, my dream job was to work as a photographer for National Geographic Magazine.
I loved the way the deep tones and richness in the photographs transported me to other continents and submerged me in the vibrant foreign cultures from all over the globe that I dreamt to witness firsthand one day.
Fast forward to a few years later and many long nights studying to be an Occupational Therapist and working two waitressing jobs, I bought myself a tiny Panasonic Lumix and a tripod.
That's when this love affair really started, and I have been telling beautiful stories with my photographs ever since.
We typically book weddings between 12 and 16 months out and take on only a very limited number of full scale wedding bookings each year. Elopements, intimate weddings and portrait sessions are much more flexible since they often take place outside of weekend dates.
Once you have confirmed your wedding date and venue, we should be your next call, along with your DJ and/or videographer. We are happy to provide our clients with a list of recommended vendors we have partnered with in the past to aid you in this process!
Such a great question!
We happily accept 12-15 full-scale weddings each year. This is the sweet spot. We get to dole out our time and attention to each and every one of our couples, making sure to take care of their needs and be the experts in their corner while still enjoying our lives and staying energized about what we get to do!
To reserve your date, we require a signed wedding photography services contract and a non-refundable initial payment of $1,000. Once this is completed, your wedding date will be reserved especially for your wedding day on our calendars and marked as unavailable to any other interested couples. We will then customize your payment plan so that you can have complete control over your planning and financing for your wedding.

During our busy season, it usually takes 8-12 weeks to finalize a wedding collection. We know how excited you are and include a detailed and robust preview of your wedding day in a gallery sent to you within 2-3 days after your wedding. We also send this gallery to your fabulous wedding team so that everyone can join in your excitement while all the bliss of being newly married is still fresh!
For a single wedding, we invest approximately 30 hours of time. We edit each image to perfection. You may expect 400-700 photographs based on the level of detail, and number of events throughout your wedding day.
We will spend the wedding day thoughtfully curating a detailed storyline surrounding the events of the day while keeping our eyes out for any special moments between you and your loved ones. This approach allows us to deliver a body of work that allows you to relive your wedding day as if you were reading your favorite book, with no details spared.
Editing is an art and quality artwork takes time.
Take a deep breath, friends. You came to the right place.
We love to create very intentional portraits of our clients through an approach we like to call "posed candid". I think it's fair to say that very few of us know how to confidently pose ourselves when there is a camera in front of us, so rest assured, you'll be gently guided along with specifics on posing and fun prompts to loosen any nerves, and then we let the magic happen from there.
We are big on capturing genuine moments, and that means letting you be "you", without too much interference from us. We believe that with a little expert guidance and clear directions, everyone is capable of gorgeous portraits. Our work is a testament to it!
We are pretty passionate about this one!

Their friends all have good stories about them but they don't take themselves too seriously.
They trust their team to do the heavy-lifting so that when the big day arrives, they can be present and enjoy it with their loved ones.
Merri’s photography skills are phenomenal; the work in her galleries speaks for itself. What is not easily observed from the gorgeous end results is the ‘challenge accepted’ background work that she does that result in the beautiful pictures. Her passion to help her clients achieve their vision is unmatched.

"Our engagement and wedding photos were beautiful, and Merri was such a pleasure to work with! She stayed in frequent contact with us, and was very accommodating to requests and last minute changes. Neither my husband or I are very comfortable in front of a camera, but you wouldn't be able to tell from our photos! Our families absolutely adored Merri, and consider her part to be part of our family now, too! I would strongly recommend C&B Photography."

After an accident in 2008 that changed my life's trajectory and affected my ability to remember all of the wonderful things in it, photography went from being an interest to a vital necessity.
While I'm not saying you'll lose your memory too, I do believe that after our dear, sweet grandparents have gone a little earlier than everyone else, we've all danced the last dance and the last light has gone out, all that will be left to us will be our photos of that day.
Our lives are worth remembering.
